Man who walk through airport turnstile sideways going to Bangkok. - Chinese Proverb

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM PHUKET. IT IS THE ONLY THING TO DO IF YOU FIND YOURSELF THERE. - Fred Allen (apologies).

BANGKOK!

Having exhausted ourselves in (almost) non-stop partying and debauchery during our stay in the middle of the infamous BOY BAR section of Patong Beach, we have today moved on to Bangkok.

After a sumptuous dinner atop the famous (and fabulous) Baiyoke Suite Hotel (43rd floor), Russell has spent the remainder of the evening configuring the computers to share one hotel WiFi link. Now that we are back online, we will be filling in the remaining blanks of the blog.

I have to say, when Crystal and Craig were overseas and their blogging became intermittent, I really didn't appreciate just how difficult it can be to blog in an up-to-date fashion while constantly seeking out public WiFi connections of sufficient bandwith to allow the speedy upload of images and text. One place I blogged from in Phuket had an upload rate of around 10k BITS per second, slower than a dial-up modem on Valium! It took literally hours to complete one blog and caused us to miss lunch. Consequently, we decided to concentrate on the holiday rather than the blog, before the former evaporated in a puff of smoke.

Enough of all that, here are some of the images of today:

PHUKET (This morning):

Our car awaits for our forty-five minute drive to the airport

A last look at the Royal Paradise Hotel - Great times remembered

We knew it was TG 210, but was it going to Bangkok?

Lidy is ready to go even though we are already 9Kg overweight
(The luggage smartarse!)

BANGKOK (This afternoon):

At last, Bangkok!

Where, this time, we ARE met!

And transported in the style to which we are rapidly becoming accustomed

To the Baiyoke Suite Hotel in Central Bangkok.
