The Last Supper

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

Well, tonight, we had our fare thee well dinner at Ahmets Turkish restaurant at Victoria Point. Highly recomm- ended for its ambiance, not to forget (but how could you) the belly dancer.

Unfortunately, the belly dancer was not there tonight (although I did make the effort to remember her from a previous encounter.) Instead we had a magician who lingered long enough at our table to enthrall us with all sorts of close encounter majick. Most eerie of all was when Lidy wrote a name on a card and the first letter of the name appeared as a wheal on the magician's arm - spooky!

So now it's back to packing. Russell has decided to take his trusty small "cabin sized bag" while Lidy has packed the most enormous suitcase with all manner of feminine requirements, but more of that later.

It's just over 24 hours until lift-off and we are starting to become more excited as the hours turn to sand. Then, 12 hours flying and we will be in Chiang-Mai. And did I mention we will be flying Thai Airlines? A wonderful airline where the wine flows like sweet spring water and after imbibing, the hours flow away like so much debris carried by the flow.

For now, it's off to the land of nod, hopefully to awaken refreshed at some godly hour and not at the usual 4:00 AM!

Goodnight.
